Yorkshire Air Ambulance

Wawne house have been earnestly raising funds over the last 6 weeks for our House charity Yorkshire Air Ambulance – which is an incredibly worthy charity, which operates purely on charity donations and fundraising.  Vice Principal and Wawne House staff member, Mrs Farmer (along with the help of family members) have sold an abundance of knitted Christmas puddings, filled with a chocolate treat. These were incredibly popular with staff and pupils – and our Year 9 pupils were instrumental in the selling of these. As always, a fabulous team effort and we raised a credible £438.83 for the charity.

The money raised will pay for 600 litres of fuel which will fill the aircraft and pay for 1 life-saving mission so without people and groups like Wawne House,  we wouldn’t keep flying. So, big thank you from the Yorkshire Air Ambulance!’
