Yorkshire Cup Progress

Both our Year 8 and Year 9 rugby teams enjoyed Yorkshire Cup success yesterday.

An outstanding performance from our Year 8 team who ran out 52-6 winners against Carleton (Pontefract) in arctic conditions, we now make it 2 wins from 2 in our Yorkshire Cup campaign.

Massive thanks to Mr Feasey for stepping in to take the team and James and Harry from Hull Kingston Rovers for their input.

A Fantastic performance from our Year 9 lads resulting in a potential spot in the semi finals of the Yorkshire cup after beating Carleton (Pontefract) 10-0.
They overcame a very strong Carleton High team who finished as Yorkshire cup finalists last year.

The boys really believed in their abilities and stuck to the task throughout although the conditions were not conducive to good rugby. Some big hits and individual performances really made the win that more special with workhorse Lloyd our enforcer again today.

Owen and Harvey were also ever reliable and did the hard stuff. Control from our halves and some tough carries from the wings and centres made this a team performance to be proud of.

Special mention to Keelen who had his best game for WHA and Luke who scored a full length try and his second debut.
