This evening we hosted our annual Celebration of Achievement awards ceremony.
The proceedings were opened by Charlie and Megan, our Head Boy and Head Girl and hosted by Mrs Stanforth and Mr Richardson. We were joined by many parents, carers and other family members as well as distinguished guests and governors.
As Principal of Winifred Holtby Academy, I am immensely proud to be able to share and celebrate our pupils’ successes with you tonight. By joining us this evening, you are showing our pupils that you support the Academy’s core values of: Aspiration, Achievement and Respect – the very values that will ultimately lead to success in the future.
The pupils that received the awards this evening have demonstrated a clear desire to be successful throughout their time at the Academy and into the future. Together, with your continued support, we can ensure that they flourish and achieve everything that they wish for.
It was an honour for me to present this year’s Principal’s Award to Annalise. She has been an absolute pleasure and a privilege to work with for the last 5 years. She is one of the most mature, polite and conscientious pupils that we have been fortunate enough to work with. She is an absolute credit to her family and I know that she will go on from Winifred Holtby to achieve great things in whatever she does. I also know that when she collects her examination results in August, Annalise will not only be very happy with her achievements but she will also be able to say, with absolute confidence, “I couldn’t have tried any harder and these grades are a true reflection of my hard work and dedication.”
Thank you to everyone that joined us this evening in celebrating the success of our pupils.
