Year 9 pupils have taken part in a Photography Masterclass for 6 weeks at Hull College. This opportunity was designed to help pupils following the BTEC Art & Design course who couldn’t opt for Photography because of the curriculum time.
The project, named Action Shots, hoped it would give them an opportunity to broaden their skill set. The sessions were delivered by a local professional photographer with a wealth of experience in the industry and extremely creative approach to the art form.
All participants’ work was exhibited at Hull College and was open to a public vote and the ‘winning’ photographer Niamh received an Entry level SLR camera. All other participants received framed photos, as well as a further print for them to keep (unframed).
A wide selection of prints will be exhibited at the Academy for friends and family of the pupils to view. Please see Mrs Mitchell for further details.
Below is the winning photograph - well done Niamh.
