Made in Hull

Pupils from schools across the Bransholme area submitted entries into the ‘Art, poetry, prose and photography Exhibition, which was held last night at Winifred Holtby Academy – the idea of holding an exhibition came from the Joint School Council which has pupil reps from 13 schools across Bransholme – last night’s event was a huge success, with over 200 people attending and voting for their favourite entries.

‘Made In Hull’ exhibition

Tomorrow night we will be hosting a ‘Made In Hull’ exhibition - this links in with Hull being the City Of Culture 2017. We have a fantastic range of work from primary schools and secondary schools. All work will be numbered and staff, pupils and their families will be able to vote for their favourite 3 pieces in each of the categories.

The exhibition will take place 4.30pm – 6.30pm in the Orangery – we will be raffling off Easter eggs (below)  -  30p a ticket or a strip for £1.00 - Unfortunately you don’t get Mr Stallard (or is that fortunately).

Hope to see you there.

We're just getting started...

Another fantastic performance of the Story of Mr B from the Shake theatre company today at Winifred Holtby Academy –  tomorrow Roald Dahl films come to life - come and watch the films and meet some of the characters. Tickets still available for tomorrow’s performances.

Willy Wonka - 10.30am

Matilda - 1.30pm

Fantastic Mr Fox - 4.00pm

‘Put your stamp on the world’

The launch of The Winifred Holtby Academy culture board was launched yesterday. Some of you may have seen the map of the world located in the forum looking a little colourless – well it is now time to brighten it up! Each pupil will place a stamp of their fingerprint in the colour of their house in a location on the map.
