Parents/carers receive assessment data twice during the academic year which includes progress data from the core curriculum, attitude to learning information and improvement targets. The progress data indicates if a student is working above, at or below the level that we expect at a particular time.
A formal internal, end-of-year examination is taken by all students in Years 7 – 10. These examinations are designed to prepare students for the external linear examinations they will take at the end of Key Stage 4.
In Year 11, students sit Pre-Public Examinations (PPEs). These examinations, completed under the same conditions as the external GCSE examinations, are designed to provide a realistic experience and prepare students for the approaching examination season.
