House System

Our House System is designed to embody the values and ethos of the academy. 

It is an integral part of our academy community and provides first-class pastoral care for all students who compete to win Acheivement/House points, which are displayed on our digital screens around the academy.

Our House names are based on five ancient settlements within the local area. Students are placed into: Hedoncrofte, Riseholme, Sefholme, Sudtone and Wawne, which enable House teams to provide effective support for all students. 

Each House has a member of staff who is a House Champion, who will work with the Student Leadership Team to organise fun events and charity fundraising events for all students to participate in during the course of the academic year. A range of student leadership opportunities are available including: Prefects, Assistant Prefects, House Captains, Sport Captains, House Council and Academy Council reps. Each tutor group also has its own representative, ensuring `student voice’ is at the heart of decision-making within the academy.
